General information about the prints is also available at the About link.
I made this photograph at an extended family wedding in Pennsylvania where I had no duties. I guess I had a miniature printing triumph when the print matched my scanned negative—attested to in the "attagirl!" to myself in the first sentence of the printing notes. Back in the day, matching scanned negative to print output was a seriously Dark Art. The foreground figure has always felt like a microcosm of a certain kind of femininity to me. While she's wearing "girl shoes," you get the feeling she could handle a large earth-moving machine in a pinch. Print date June 2004.
